These 7 Real-Life Photos Show Off The Maruti Fronx Delta Plus Velocity Edition
Introduced in April 2023, the Maruti Fronx is a subcompact crossover vehicle that is built on the Maruti Baleno platform. While optional accessories have been offered since the Fronx’s inception, Maruti has just unveiled the Velocity edition, which is only compatible with the Delta Plus model of the Fronx and costs Rs 34,000 more due to cosmetic changes. Let’s examine this limited-edition kit’s appearance in seven actual photos.
The chrome garnish on the headlight units is the sole visible difference between the Velocity edition and the previous model. Apart from this, the Fronx Delta Plus version bears no resemblance to its standard version. Maruti started selling LED headlights with LED DRLs on the Fronx, which is the base model from which the Delta Plus is derived.
The Velocity version of the Fronx comes with side extras like door visors, side molding, and ORVM chrome garnish. This trim level, Delta Plus, includes 16-inch alloy wheels that have been blacked out. Along with the Fronx, the Velocity edition accessory kit includes illuminated door sill guards.
The sole modification to the rear is the addition of a chrome tailgate garnish. As a Delta Plus version, it has LED taillights at the back instead of the center-mounted kind that is available starting with the Zeta model. Additionally, it has a silver skid plate that is integrated into the rear bumper and improves the car’s overall look.
Mud flaps are another official accessory that comes with the Velocity edition.
Interior
The carbon styling kit that comes with the Velocity edition package of the Fronx can be used to further improve the dual-tone dashboard look of the Delta Plus variation of the automobile. This item includes a carbon finish on the power window trim of the door as well as around the AC vents.
Its features include an electrically adjustable ORVM system, automatic air conditioning, a 6-speaker sound system, a 7-inch touchscreen system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and more. Dual front airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, and a day/night IRVM (internal rearview mirror) all contribute to safety. Although the Velocity version of the Fronx comes with a rear parking sensor as an extra, the Delta Plus model of the car does not.
The Velocity edition of the Fronx leatherette black seat cover is also available from Maruti. The limited version also comes with a car vacuum, Nexa-branded seat cushions, and all-weather 3D floor mats and boot maps.
Engines Available
The Fronx Delta Plus model is available with a 1.2-liter normally aspirated gasoline engine (90 PS/113 Nm) or a 1-liter turbo-petrol engine (100 PS/148 Nm). A 5-speed manual transmission is standard on both engines. About the automatic, the former has a 5-speed AMT standard, while the latter has the choice of a 6-speed AMT.
Price & Rivals
The Maruti Fronx Delta Pus variant costs between Rs 8.78 lakh and Rs 9.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It competes with vehicles such as the Hyundai Exter, Citroen C3, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.

5-door Mahindra Thar Is Noticed in the Camouflage Once More, a Close-Up of the Rear Profile
- 5-door Mahindra Thar: receives modest design upgrades over the existing 3-door Thar Mahindra.
- most likely include a fresh cabin concept.
- A larger touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital driver’s display, and a single-pane sunroof are among the new features.
- Pricing is anticipated to start at Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
Although it has been in the testing stage for some time, the 5-door Mahindra Thar is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated cars of 2024. Although the date of debut is still unknown, there have been more reports of seeing its production-ready test mules, suggesting that the launch may occur soon. Here are all the characteristics of the larger Thar’s rear profile that was photographed in the most recent spy unit.
Exterior
The most striking similarity between it and the contemporary 3-door Thar is from the back. It has the same bumper style, vertically positioned rectangular LED tail lights, and a spare wheel located on the tailgate.
With its circular headlights (now LED units with ring-like LED DRLs) and bumper design, the front profile is even identical to the three-door model. There are slight modifications to the front grille. But the fog lamps are still halogen lights.
Its side features the same alloy wheel style and two more doors for the comfort of the backseat passengers. Nevertheless, it is from this perspective that the SUV’s extended wheelbase becomes apparent.
Safety & Features
Recently, a detailed spy photo of the 5-door Thar’s interior revealed a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital driver’s display, both of which are probably 10.25-inch displays. In addition to these screens, it has a single-pane sunroof, automated climate control, Type-C charging connections, an auto-dimming IRVM, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Mahindra SUV is anticipated to be equipped with electronic stability control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors, a rearview camera, and up to six airbags for further safety. Upgrading the 5-door Thar to a higher model can also add a 360-degree camera.
Powertrain
The Mahindra Thar 5-door will be available with the same 2-liter turbo-petrol and 2.2-liter diesel engine options as its 3-door counterpart. The three-door variant of these engines offers 152 PS (petrol) and 132 PS (diesel). They’ll probably arrive at a higher tune in the 5-door Thar, though. The longer model will probably be available with both 4-wheel-drive (4WD) and rear-wheel-drive (RWD) configurations.
Expected Price & Rivals
The 5-door Mahindra Thar is anticipated to go on sale later this year at a starting price of Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). It will directly compete with the planned 5-door Force Gurkha and serve as a high-end substitute for the Maruti Jimny.

Rivals
These vehicles can be viewed as more practical substitutes for the CNG versions of the Maruti Celerio, Maruti Wagon R, Maruti Dzire, and Hyundai Aura because there aren’t any other CNG automatic models available in India as of now.

Hyundai Creta EV Seen Testing in India Once More, With New Information
- The updated Hyundai Creta will serve as the foundation for the Creta EV.
- New alloy wheels were observed on the test mule, and the dashboard was partially visible.
- It will have ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and two 10.25-inch screens.
- Six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are anticipated to be included.
- Price range: perhaps starting at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
With a new appearance and an extensive feature list, the facelifted Hyundai Creta was recently introduced in India. Recently, a disguised Creta—possibly the Creta EV—has been seen during testing. The Hyundai Creta EV will undoubtedly be built on the Creta facelift, according to the most recent spy photos.
New Information Viewed
The Creta EV test mule is remarkably similar to its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart, although being extensively disguised. These alloy wheels, which are unique from the standard Creta’s and have an EV-specific aerodynamic shape, are what distinguish this test mule as an electric vehicle.
The spy photo shows that the Creta EV will have the same redesigned dashboard as the standard Creta, complete with two 10.25-inch digital screens—one for infotainment and the other for the driver’s display. The electric SUV may also have ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, and dual-zone air conditioning.
Six airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, a tire pressure monitoring system, and advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) features like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and automated emergency braking are probably included in the safety package.
Electric Powertrain Expectations
Even though there are currently few facts available regarding the Creta EV’s electric motor and battery pack, we anticipate seeing the vehicle available with a stated range of more than 400 kilometers.
Expected Launch & Price
In India, Hyundai may introduce the Creta EV as early as 2025. Pricing is anticipated to start at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be a more expensive option than the Mahindra XUV400 EV and Tata Nexon EV, but it will directly compete with the MG ZS EV and the Tata Curvv EV.

Skoda Octavia’s Facelift: Teaser Sketches Unveiled Before Premiere
The sportier vRS version of the Octavia will arrive in India sometime in the second half of 2024, despite the ordinary model not being sent there.
- Octavia to get facelift on February 14, 2024, according to Skoda.
- New alloy wheels, improved LED DRLs, and sharper LED headlights are all depicted in the sketches.
- A larger touchscreen and a revised layout are anticipated for the cabin.
- Skoda plans to release a diesel version of the global-spec sedan along with other engine options.
- In 2024, the vRS version may be available for purchase in India, with pricing beginning at more than Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom).
On February 14, the Skoda Octavias facelift for the fourth generation will go global. However, in the meanwhile, a few teaser designs from the Czech automaker have offered us a peek at the updated sedan.
What Is Shown in the Sketches?
The majority of the front-end modifications go to the Octavia and include a redesigned grille, more angular LED headlights, and a sportier bumper. The new boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights, which give the new fascia an aggressive appearance, are the design element that stands out the most.
Skoda has fitted the sedan with new alloy wheels, although the side appearance is almost intact. The tail lights have been upgraded, although they still have the same shape in the back. Its rear bumper now features more pronounced creases and cuts as a result of makeover.
The automaker has also released a teaser sketch showcasing the updated Octavia vRS’s new look. It will also have sporty alloy wheels, a dynamic rear bumper, and a distinctive designed bumper with large, aggressive air vents. Skoda will keep supplying the Octavia in sedan and estate body options for customers worldwide.
Updates for Cabin and Features
The upgraded Octavia’s interior has not yet been made public by Skoda, but it is anticipated to include new upholstery, a redesigned dashboard, more color options, and possibly even feature additions like a larger infotainment screen.
How Are Its Drivetrains?
For the Octavia, Skoda Octavias intends to offer a number of powertrain options worldwide, including a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol, a 2-liter turbo-petrol, a 1.4-liter plug-in hybrid (for the vRS model), and a 2-liter diesel. There will be options for both an automatic and manual transmission in the 2024 Octavia.
Amount Anticipated And Arrival In India
While the regular Octavia will not be coming back to India, its vRS variant—which is a favorite among enthusiasts—is probably going to. Since it would be a complete import, we anticipate that the facelifted Skoda Octavia vRS will start at a price of more than Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). It will function as a reasonably priced substitute for the BMW M340i. It might arrive in our country by Skoda sometime in the second half of 2024.
