The 1.2-liter 3-cylinder Z series petrol engine is confirmed to be installed in the new Swift, replacing the 1.2-liter 4-cylinder K-series petrol engine in the outgoing model, according to the internet article. The current Swift can also be had with a CNG powertrain, which has a lower output of 77.5 PS/98.5 Nm and is exclusively paired with a manual transmission. Nevertheless, the CNG drivetrain will not be available for the new Swift, at least not when it launches.
