Japan-spec new-gen Suzuki Swift gets a new 1.2-liter 3-cyl mild-hybrid petrol engine which makes 82 PS and 108 Nm. The unit is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic. It comes in both 2-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive motor systems.

The new Japan-spec Swift:

• Mild Hybrid: 24.5 kmpl
• Regular Petrol: 23.4 kmpl

The India-Spec Suzuki Swift is expected to come with a 5-speed AMT and 5-speed Manual with a 2-wheel drive.

Expected features for the Maruti Suzuki Swift include a heads-up display, a 9-inch touchscreen unit from Facelifed Blaeno, and linked car technology. The Maruti Suzuki Swift is also expected to continue to include cruise control auto aircon. It is Maruthi Swift’s finest feature.

It is anticipated to have an electronic stability program (ESP), ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and up to six airbags. The India-spec Suzuki Swift will reportedly have blind spot recognition as well, based on recent spy photos.
