In 2012, the Maruti Ertiga MPV made its debut in India. The seven-seat MPV came with a choice of diesel and gasoline engines. The Ertiga had a generational upgrade in 2018 and as a result of strict emission regulations, the diesel engine option was phased out in 2020. In the year 2022, Maruti gave the MPV a midlife makeover. The Maruti Ertiga has now sold ten lakh units, a noteworthy sales milestone, as of 2024. Powertrain Evolution
The Maruti Ertiga has provided Indian consumers with a broad range of powertrain options over its many versions.
