HYUNDIA cAR IMAGE News & Top Stories

India’s Next N Line Model May Be The Hyundai Creta in 2024

The powerful turbo-petrol engine option is returning on the 2017 Creta, but some design cues and gearbox options lead us to think Hyundai is saving them for the N Line version of the SUV.

In terms of performance, the Hyundai Creta 2024 has emerged as the leader of the segment. In addition to all the new amenities and a redesigned exterior style, the facelifted compact SUV now comes with a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine option that produces 160 PS.  With the Creta N Line, Hyundai seems like they could provide us additional customization options for this powerful engine – India’s Next N Line Model Hyundai Creta.

What Leads Us to Believe That

  • Dedicated Users’ Manual Option

hyundi creta interior

We believe the Creta N Line may finally be coming our way for a few reasons. As previously stated, the turbo-petrol engine of the redesigned Creta is only available with a 7-speed DCT transmission. With the Verna and Alcazar, the same engine does, however, have the option of a 6-speed manual. This suggests that the Creta N Line might be the only way to get these alternatives – India’s Next N Line Model Hyundai Creta.

  • Increased Accessibility

It’s also important to keep in mind that Hyundai is only offering the turbocharged gasoline engine on the fully loaded SX (O) option, which costs Rs 20 lakh. Therefore, we think that, similar to the Venue and Venue N Line, the Creta N Line may provide the same drivetrain with further SUV options.

  • Design Distinctiveness

hyundi n line image

The turbo-petrol engine choice for the pre-facelift Creta was distinguished from other engine options by the color of the exhaust and the cabin. The turbo-petrol version of the facelifted Creta, however, lacks this difference. The ‘N Line’ insignia, sportier alloy wheels with brake callipers, a blacked-out interior, and even dual exhaust tips are expected to be some of the cosmetic enhancements that the Creta N Line will carry over from the ordinary model.

  • The Global Creta N Line Exists

Hyundai N Line

Finally, Hyundai has already expanded its N Line lineup in international markets with the Creta SUV. It is already available for purchase in a select South American locations (though not in the India-spec version), which increases the likelihood that the automaker will eventually tease us with a glimpse of the SUV’s more aggressively styled version.

Powertrain Details

hyundai engine image

The 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine (160 PS/253 Nm) that powers the regular model will be available for the 2024 Hyundai Creta N Line. It is expected to come with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic transmission). Hyundai also provides two other engine options for the basic Creta; our comprehensive launch article contains the information for these variants. To distinguish it out even further from the standard Creta, the N Line variant may feature a slightly modified suspension system for improved handling.

Anticipated Release Date and Cost

It is anticipated that the Hyundai Creta N Line would go on sale in the upcoming months, with a starting price of approximately Rs 17.50 lakh. Its primary competitors will be the Kia Seltos GTX+ and X-Line, but it will also offer a sportier-looking substitute for vehicles like the Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, and Skoda Kushaq.
