Removed from the Indian Website: Hyundai Kona Electric

The Hyundai Kona Electric has essentially been discontinued as it is no longer listed on the automaker’s Indian website. In 2019, the Korean automaker debuted the Kona EV, its first electric vehicle (EV) in India. Nearing the end of its existence, the Hyundai Kona Electric cost Rs 23.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and was available in a single “Premium” specification.
After going on sale for nearly five years, the Hyundai Kona Electric had not seen any noteworthy changes. It was also one of Hyundai’s slower-selling models recently; for almost a year, the automaker has been offering steep discounts on its backlog of unclaimed inventory.
An Overview of the Hyundai Kona EV
The India-specific front axle of the Hyundai Kona Electric was driven by an electric motor that produced 395 Nm and 136 PS thanks to a 39.2 kWh battery pack. Its 452 km ARAI-rated range was impressive.
It had a sunroof, wireless phone charging, air conditioning with rear vents, heated and ventilated front seats, cruise control, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, among other things.
