Mahindra Still Needs To Fulfill Over Two Lakh Orders, With Scorpio Classic, Scorpio N, And Thar Leading The Way
Mahindra Cars recently revealed the total number of pending orders for all of its vehicles, along with other particulars for each brand, at a financial report conference. As of the beginning of February 2024, 2.26 lakh orders were outstanding, including some of the company’s most popular SUVs, like the Mahindra XUV700, Mahindra Scorpio N, and Mahindra Thar.

1.01 lakh open bookings are shared by the Mahindra Scorpio N and Mahindra Scorpio Classic. That the Scorpio siblings receive an average of 16,000 bookings each month is a statistic that further emphasizes its appeal. Following up with 71,000 pending orders is the Mahindra Thar, which includes the rear-wheel drive variant. Three thousand five hundred XUV700s, ten thousand Bolero, and Bolero Neos, and about nine thousand XUV300 and XUV400 EVs have not yet been delivered by BMW.

The maximum wait times for the Scorpio N and XUV700 in India’s top 20 cities are as high as 6.5 months, as can be observed above. At 2.5 months, the Scorpio Classic has the shortest average waiting period.
Even though the current back order total of over 3 lakh units is an improvement over the previous total, Mahindra has not formally disclosed the cause of the enormous pending numbers. However, deliveries are likely being delayed due to a variety of issues, such as supply chain and production limitations.
