The Punch EV car Adventure and the more highly equipped Empowered models are comparable up front. It has linked LED DRLs, LED fog lamps with cornering capability, and LED projector headlights. In addition to being daytime running lights, the LED DRLs provide turn signal sequence effects, welcome and farewell animations, and more. Its connected DRL arrangement lacks a charge indicator, in contrast to its higher-spec trims.

As of this Adventure version, more exterior colors like Daytona Grey, Fearless Red, and the Seaweed featured above will also be accessible.

Even though the Punch EV Adventure lacks a rear wiper-washer and a rear defogger, its rear end is virtually comparable to that of the higher-spec variants. The silver skid plate and blacked-out rear bumper with LED taillamps are the only details that haven’t changed.

The Tata Punch EV Adventure model has a dual-tone dashboard. It has a 7-inch Harman infotainment system, which is similar to the ICE (internal combustion engine) version, and is controlled by steering-mounted controls. It also has wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also includes a Type-C USB charger, a 12V power socket underneath, and automatic air conditioning with a touch control panel.

A jewelled drive mode selector with an integrated display and a semi-digital instrument cluster are additional features of the Tata Punch EV Adventure model. It has an auto hold function and an electronic parking brake as well. Please be aware that these are only compatible with the Punch EV’s long-range Adventure version—not with the medium-range model.

Seat upholstery in the Punch EV Adventure long range edition is dual-tone grey cloth. All other passengers in the Punch EV have adjustable headrests, with the exception of the center passenger in the back. It does not, however, come with the rear center armrest that comes with the more expensive Empowered model.

The Punch EV Adventure Long Range also has push-button start/stop, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and cruise control. Multi-mode regenerative braking and three drive modes (Sport, Eco, and City) are also included.

Customers may upgrade to the Adventure S long range variant for an extra Rs 50,000, which comes with extra equipment including automated headlights, a sunroof, the choice of a dual-tone exterior color, and rain-sensing wipers.

Electric motor, battery pack, and charging

With a 35 kWh battery pack that claims a range of 421 km, the Adventure variation of the Tata Punch EV is the entry-level model for the long range option. It drives an electric motor that produces 190 Nm and 122 PS.

Both 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW AC charging options are available for the Punch EV long range variant, with the latter requiring an additional Rs 50,000. The quicker charging option charges the battery from 10 to 100 percent in 5 hours, compared to 13.5 hours for the former. Additionally, it enables 50 kW DC rapid charging, which takes only 56 minutes to fully charge a battery from 10% to 80%.

Cost & Competition

The starting price of the Tata Punch EV Adventure long range variant, ex-showroom across India, is Rs 12.99 lakh. It competes with the Citroen eC3 and offers a high-end substitute for the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV.
